Navy Bean & Ham Hock Soup


1.5 Cup Navy Beans, soaked in water overnight, rinsed
5 Cups of water
1 Carrot, finely chopped
1/4 Cup Celery, finely chopped
1 medium onion chopped
3/4 Pound of Ham Hock
1/2 TBSP Salt
Pepper to taste


Put rinsed & drained beans, water, celery, onion, carrot, salt & pepper, and hocks into crock pot, mix quickly with spoon. Place lid on crock pot, turn on low, let cook for 10-12 hours.


To get a different flavor profile use smoked ham hocks.
